His expertise in leather bag design grew from his skill in leather upholstery, combining precision with sculptural beauty. In his furniture, Garvan de Bruir focuses on fluid aluminium legs and curving chair shells crafted from fiberglass and leather, achieving a perfect balance of strength and elegance. His work seamlessly bridges tradition and innovation, creating pieces that are as functional as they are artistic.
Breakfast & Bar Stools
The curving Stools are created in a single form of cast aluminium. The stem sweeps elegantly upwards to support the seat, with a subtle outshoot to form a footrest.
The slim Breakfast Bar also features a solid, cast aluminium stem at the core of its structure. The gentle tapering form in a mirror-polished finish gives it a visual lightness. The elliptical table top and base can be made in a solid walnut or oak.
Dining Table & Chairs
The Dining Table and leather chairs are from Garvan de Bruir’s award-winning graduate collection.
The curving leg of the dining table compliments the stem of the chair. The table top can take many shapes, from aerofoil or amoeba shapes to more formal rectangles. It can be made in solid Oak or Walnut or in a corporate environment, the table top can be finished in leather.
Rocking Chair
This is a very satisfying and comfortable Rocking Chair.
The upholstery for the chair is created in a single moulded piece of leather so the top surface is perfectly smooth. The inner shell is made in fibreglass for strength and to achieve a slim profile for the leather upholstery.
